Last night I went to the Jr./Sr. banquet with my youngest daughter Debbie. It kind of hit me that she will be graduating next month, and leaving for college in August. She has grown into a beautiful, Godly young lady, with a heart for God.
Of course, it made me rather nostalgic about when she was just a baby, then a little girl, and all the stages that brought her to this day. It made me think of a song off of one of our Patch the Pirate CDs. Some of the words are as follows:
Cherish the moment; soon you'll be apart.
Cling to the mem'ry, clasp it to your heart.
Soon comes the day when you'll have no child to hold,
So cherish, cherish the moment.
Think ahead to a time when your little ones are grown;
Hold them tight, don't lose sight of the blessings you have known.
Think ahead to a time when your little boy's a man
And you'd give anything just to hold him again.
